Hi there,
I'm Francine Baxter
I'm located in a cozy home studio nestled in the heart of Chapel Grove on the picturesque Kingston Peninsula surrounded by the stunning landscape and the Kennebecasis River.
A little bit more about Me...
Inspiration- Living close to nature, the river, and travelling abroad has greatly influenced my art and fed my creativity. I've been fortunate enough to have travelled to places such as Asia, South and Central America, Europe, Australia, Indonesia, the South Pacific and several places in Africa. These incredible journeys have offered glimpses of diverse cultures, art, traditions, music and food. This beautiful world, the diversity, the natural wonders, and the vastness of this earth has made me want to continue to learn and explore all that life has to offer!

Art- I have always had an interest in creating, ever since I can remember, whether it's jewelry, pottery, painting or drawing. It's rewarding when you produce a product from your vision. Spilling out your the ideas and working with different mediums keeps things fresh and exciting. In my undergrad at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design I dabbled in sculpture, ceramics, drawing, photography and graphic design, completing a Fine Arts degree and a Bachelor of Art in Art Education.

Teaching- has been my passion for over thirty years. After receiving my Masters in Special Education I taught Art, Special Education and Grade 2. The transition to teaching pottery was a natural and very rewarding evolution. I am blessed to be be able to share, inspire and motivate others through the joy of creating pottery... I never tire of it!
What's happenin' now? Lots of pottery! Custom orders, commissions and classes. I am still making copper jewelry and semi precious stone jewelry as well.
